Georgina Rankin’s practice focuses mainly on advising both trustees, and corporate sponsors of occupational pension plans.Her expertise over the last 20 years covers a broad range of pensions law work including establishing new pension schemes, winding-up pension schemes and PPF entry, mergers and de-mergers of pension schemes, the drafting of pension scheme documentation, advising on the implications for trustees and corporate sponsors of corporate transactions, trustee training (including for the purposes of the PMI Award in Pension Trusteeship examination), advising in respect of all manners of liability management exercises and advising on scheme closures and benefit design changes.Georgina has a particular expertise in advising on legal documentation in relation to multi-million pound investments by pension schemes. Her knowledge and experience in investment documentation is wide ranging having advised on discretionary investment management agreements, private equity partnership agreements, hedge funds and establishing and operating common investment funds.
