- Teach language, study skills, numeracy, computers skills and employment preparation to individuals and groups which enables them to meet the requirements of their goal paths- Design and teach employment preparation curriculums- Plan and teach learner-centred, task-based lessons using the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF) ensuring successful goal completion for learners- Screen new learners for suitability for employment programs- Conduct assessments to monitor learner progress and determine transition-readiness- Research job market trends and make improvements to procedures for program accountability and reporting requirements

My role focuses on activating PAL - A Lesson Planning Companion resources and supporting educators in enhancing their instructional strategies through direct, practical advice and project-based initiatives.

I am working with literacy and basic skills (LBS) practitioners to create a culminating task that aligns with the Ontario Adult Curriculum Literacy Framework.

In collaboration with a group of literacy and basic skills (LBS) practitioners, I co-created a suite of resources conceived through the pedagogical lens of lesson planning and technology integration. We used a bottom-up, collaborative approach to enhancing digital delivery in this Skills For Success funded project.

My role was to ensure the successful completion of Organizational Needs Assessments by Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) Providers within our local network. This essential role was a part of a dynamic Workplace Literacy initiative, aimed at empowering organizations to meet the evolving training needs of their workforce. The project was funded by Skills For Success.

The Growing Talent for the Landscape and Horticulture Industry Project was an innovative partnership project bringing together industry, adult education and employment expertise in Ottawa to prepare the right talent with the right skills for jobs in the Landscape and Horticulture Industry.The project partners intended to create a pool of committed and skilled people for vacant jobs in Ottawa and developed an innovative 8-week training program called Ready, Set, Grow. - Conducted information sessions, OALCF assessments and milestones for all learners - Developed and delivered curriculum that incorporated employers' professional recommendations - Responsible for project logistics which included site visits, guest speakers, certification, and purchasing tools and safety equipment - Organised job placements and visited learners and employers to ascertain job readiness and employer feedback- Devised surveys and conducted interviews with learners and employers for research purposes- Liaised with employers, steering committee members and researchers to ensure program deliverables were completed on time

- Taught Success Strategies for three sessions at John Howard Society Ottawa- Facilitated adult learning through a wide variety of F2F and online learning activities which enhanced students skills and attitudes towards future learning- Engaged and motivated diverse groups of learners in respectful learning environments thus encouraging them to become successful lifelong learners- Used (LMS) Blackboard extensively throughout the courses which included posting a variety of materials, communicating with students, managing grades, assignments and quizzes
