I received my Diploma (five-year studies equivalent to Master) and PhD from the department of Production and Management Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 2006 and 2012 respectively. My undergraduate dissertation was in the field of financial portfolio optimization with multi-objective evolutionary algorithms and was published in a peer-reviewed journal. In 2007 I started my PhD studies on the field of financial portfolio optimization using multi-objective evolutionary algorithms.I have published more than 15 papers in scientific journals, edited volumes and conference proceedings. The number of citations in my papers are more than 600. I am an active reviewer in a number of journals in the field of operations research and computational finance. Moreover, my C/C++ programming skills are strong as I have developed a number of algorithms during my PhD studies.Furthermore, I have been teaching for three years in the department of Accounting and Finance, TEI of Thessaly, Greece, the courses, “Stock Exchange Investments, “Quantitative Issues in Finance” “Investment Strategies”, “Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management”, “Risk Management” and “Financial Markets”. Moreover, I have taught the course “Financial Mathematics” in the Postgraduate program in Economics and Management for Engineers of the department of Financial and Management Engineering, University of the Aegean, Greece. Since June 2019 I work as a Business Consultant at CGSoft, Athens, Greece where I develop relational database systems using T-SQL.I also engage in research related to portfolio optimization and multi-objective evolutionary algorithms as an independent researcher and as a researcher in funded research programs where I apply financial, economic and operational research knowledge and methods in agricultural problems.
