Quantum Computing Research Placement
My research project focused on investigating the effect of noise on practical realisations of Continuous-Time Quantum Walks (CTQWs), a quantum algorithm that potentially offers quantum speedup in finding solutions to combinatorial optimisation problems. This was achieved using the programming language Julia (HOQST package), to simulate the open quantum system dynamics for problem sizes up to 12 qubits, assuming a Lindblad Master equation for the Max-Cut problem.
