A biochemist and geneticist by training, since my PhD studies I have focused on biosensor development. I have a keen interest in the interface between the biological world and inorganic materials. Currently working on the development of novel biochemical and molecular assays as well as innovative surface functionalization techniques through the employment of state-of-the art infrastructure for biomolecular interaction and surface characterization. The generated knowledge is directly applicable to diverse applications ranging from biosensors & microfluidics-based LoCs for the PoC and/or PoN , drug delivery and regenerative medicine/tissue engineering.
