Upon departure of the planning manager I proposed that the role of Continuous improvement Manager and Planning and Performance Manager be merged into a singular management role of which I would have control of.Key Achievements and responsibilities include:● Development and maintenance of forecasting models to a 95%+ accuracy in a 250k+ cases per week environment● Development and maintenance of planning models for a 7000 hours per week tri-temperature logistics and transport environment● Control and management of a 1200 drops per week transport plan using KPI analysis with 95% average Delivery on time measured against a 30 minute window● Developing business cases for new projects and costs associated● In charge of process engineering and efficiency increases using Lean Six Sigma methods, examples: reduction of co-mingled slots, introduction of voice assisted loading and development of data input methods (databases, advanced spreadsheets)● Using Visual Basic to code Macros to remove monotonous task and improve report efficiencies. ● Development of custom site wide reports using cross functional KPI data● Development and analysis of budget modelling using an array over 100+ KPIs to a 99% forecast accuracy

An opportunity arose on site to lead and manage the vast number of projects currently on board. With my previous knowledge of planning and my new found knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, I was the ideal candidate for the newly developed role. My role is to generate the ideas and drive the change forward on time with each project. With my prior knowledge I am able to estimate cost savings and provide realistic time boundaries to ensure full completion and control of all projects with minimal impact and highest cost saving to the end customer.

Planning Warehouse & Transport resource for a team of 200+ Employee's with a key emphasis on Key Performance indicators and planning to an open book budget. Reviewing weekly performance with suggestions to improve depot KPI's with a key focus on cost savings

Daily and project planning for the Transport department including planning deliveries for 270 stores across three temperature streams for a mixed fleet of 60+ vehicles and 70+ drivers.Theoretical planning with an emphasis on improving depot KPI's and increasing cost savings using Paragon planning software.

With the absence of Section manager I was required to step up with the skills I gained in a clerical role in Transport and further develop those skills into that required to be a manager. This was my core development into becoming a manager and required tight management of 70+ drivers and a schedule which incorporated 3 temperature streams & 2000 weekly deliveries with an emphasis on a 1 hour fixed delivery time.
