Responsible for planning of works and ensuring works are carried out to the highest standard. Accountable for the safety and welfare of workforce and the provision of a safe working environment at all times.The project included tidal and fluvial flood prevention work on the River Ilen and on three tributaries flowing through Skibbereen. Works involved: • The construction of RC floodwalls, Sheetpiles with RC facings & capping beams with a stone face finish. • 4.2km of earth embankments • Construction of storm water pumping station on 13no. bearing piles, M&E kit out, fencing, access ramps, drainage and assiociated revetments. • Installation of large RC culverts & U-Channel, including the dewatering & diversion of watercourse, construction of new bridge parapets, rock armour revetments and stream regrading.• Constructing RC walls and steps in private residential properties. Completing the assiociated finishng works such as gates, railings, pavings, stone work & landscaping.
