About Geradine Simkins

From a young age I have been involved with projects and organizations that serve the underserved and that advocate for the underdog. My clinical field of expertise is nurse-midwifery. For the past 44 years I have made significant contributions to my community and profession as a clinician, preceptor and trainer, but also as a leader, spokesperson, author and activist. I have provided strong and effective leadership to professional organizations at the local, regional and national levels, and have also contributed on the international level. I am seeking consulting work in which I can continue to provide passion and vision combined with leadership and action to ensure that all members of society receive the kind of equitable and high-quality health and human services they deserve.
