Indeed, since i was a little girl, i would use to dress- up like a teacher, wearing my mum's dresses (definitely over-sized on me) with a high heel shoes and walking around the house, imagining I'm an English Teacher. And that was my dream job- A Teacher, inspired by my Mum.Well, am I teacher today? Nope, but Yes. I'm not a teacher by education nor by career; I'm a MICROBIOLOGIST!Yes, I hold a degree in BSc. Microbiology, graduated from University of Malaya. Since my graduation, i started my career in the field of Health Supplements related to Probiotics. I was part of the R&D team cum Quality Control lead, involved in the formulation improvement, quality control testing and product training to healthcare providers. I enjoyed my 2 years with this company.From there, in the spirit of career advancement, I joined Johnson & Johnson as a Microbiologist. From a Microbiologist to a Plant Hygienist Lead, and now, as the Quality Control Lead; in a blink of an eye, I'm with Johnson & Johnson for a good 12 years!So, from a little's girl dream to become a teacher, I'm now a full fledge Microbiologist by degree and by profession for a total of 14 years! Did i forego by dream? Not a bit; Reflecting back my career years, I've always uphold the inner teacher in me;- Nurturing "good bacteria" to grow and making sure the germs will not contaminate,- Coaching and building competency in my team on laboratory technical skills,- Teaching local and regional teams on good hygiene practice and good hygiene design,- Leading trainings, auditing and qualification programs (from people, equipment and utility)All in all, i did not realize my dream to become a teacher but throughout my 14 career years, without me realizing, I'm actually a Teacher, a Professional Teacher in the field of Quality Control, Quality Management Systems, RCA, Cleaning & Sanitization Process, Plant Installations & Utility Qualifications!
