A transport modeller experienced in producing and managing a variety of transport planning and modelling projects and studies. Transport modelling experience includes extending and improving existing strategic highway models and forecasting the impact of major developments and transport schemes using SATURN highway models. Gained extensive knowledge and experience of matrix building and manipulation, including the use of mobile phone origin-destination datasets. Involved in all elements of scheme appraisal, from traffic forecasting to economic assessments utilising software such as TUBA and COBALT.Other experience includes advising clients on traffic and transportation aspects of development and the production of transport assessments and travel plans with the use of software such as TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and TRANSYT. Development planning experience also includes post planning application negotiations with local authorities and undertaking public exhibitions.Experience also includes undertaking access strategies, outline junction designs using CAD, master planning, traffic management studies, transport scheme appraisals and policy studies for local and national government. Also experienced in using GIS software (MapInfo and ArcGIS) to process data for input into transport models and to analyse and present modelling outputs.
