I am primarily responsible for designing or leading research projects and advising measurement staff on advanced statistical methods. Projects involve research in health sciences, research design, applied psychometrics, and physician performance assessment; I aggressively pursue learning of new statistical techniques and instruct colleagues how they might be applied in their own research. I consult on statistical issues as needed on research projects across departments.

Psychometric Scaling, Analysis, and Programming•Designs data analysis protocols to support research projects.•Serves as statistical consultant on methodological issues related to the analysis of health data.•Conducts analyses of large health-related databases or data sets with complex structures involving correlated data structures (clustering or longitudinal designs), weighting, raking, propensity score matching, risk-adjustment, imputation, and psychometric modeling.•Designs and conducts psychometric and reliability evaluations of cognitive and performance assessment products.•Designs and conducts data collection projects using probability sampling methods. •Prepares and presents technical reports and background or discussion papers related to assigned projects.•Works with others on manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals and presentations.
