Ability to understand and document effectively security issues and mitigations. Knowledge and experience working with operating systems such as UNIX, Windows. Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers, SNORT Intrusion detection systems, network sniffers, network monitoring and management systems. Internet and communications protocols with an emphasis on security. Detailed understanding of various operating system configurations and security mechanisms.
