About Gerald Brooks

With over 15 years of experience in leading diverse cross-functional teams and projects, I am a certified leader in inclusion, equity, and belonging, and the site lead for the AWS Skills Center Arlington at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, I oversee the operations and strategy of the center, which provides training and career opportunities in the tech industry. I am passionate about creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, where everyone can thrive and contribute to the company's mission and vision.My background in engineering, program management, and risk management, combined with my executive education in diversity and inclusion, enables me to leverage data and analytics to drive positive outcomes for the center and its learners. I have developed and implemented performance review plans, engagement surveys, and a training programs for different organizations, as well as supported and guided the consulting diversity, equity, and inclusion council at my previous employer, Gartner.
