Clinical Research Intern
Current- Conducted a mixed-methods observational study to observe the contributions of LH AAMC's operating rooms (OR) to the hospital waste stream. Spent >200 hours collecting data and directly shadowing surgical staff in the OR. Directly reported to two physician mentors and the hospital's director of orthopedic and surgery research.- Co-author of a retrospective observational study on pre-operative predictors of same-day surgical cancellations, in which a predictive model was made using data from May 2018 - March 2022. Worked closely with the hospital's director of orthopedic and surgery research and the associate chair of surgery.- Currently working on a study of rates of compliance with osteoanabolic and antiresorptive therapies for patients diagnosed with osteoporosis
