KAS Prep is a non-traditional high school for students who were not successful completing high school at their sending school. We provide vocational and academic classes and work on finding students internships and placing them in jobs.

I taught cooking for 15 years, social studies for seven years and have been the supervisor of the media center from July, 2009 until June, 2015. I have been a class advisor for 23 years, lead teacher, mentor to new teachers, assistant director of summer and extended year programs, moderator of several clubs and coach for two County Prep teams. I have volunteered in several positions for our school union, the Hudson County Area Vocational-Technical Education Association (HCAVTEA) and assisted with different committees throughout the district. Now in my 25th year at HCST, I look forward to the new opportunities and challenges that the upcoming years will bring. My five educational certificates are Instructor of Culinary Arts, Instructor of Social Studies, Instructor in Online Learning, Media Specialist and Supervisor of Instruction. I have a MA in Educational Technology and approximately 100 additional credits.

Worked as a counselor in a 18 bed voluntary psychiatric inpatient unit. Liaison between the Emergency Room and pychiatric unit to evaluate clients. Ran group therapy and worked individually with clients.
