Copies playlist from the Movies folder as a LOG (text) file, then moves them to Imagine: Air Client (AKA: Harris/ Louth), translates the list to LST (playlist file). Op goes over the playlist to make sure that all the start times, ID’s, headers, doughnuts, bonus clips, title promos, and accordions are correct. If the playlist becomes corrupt or needs to be changed out, the op must import the playlist and sync it to the proper time and route to air. NOC2- Op uses Movies to obtain a purge list to purge on the farad which is on the Media client side of the Imagine Operating system. This is where we store the assets (features, promos, and interstitials) that are ready to air. The Op also imports assets that air within two weeks. Then writes database info and verifies plays. Both positions in the NOC calls EchoStar, DirecTV, Comcast, and other headends when there are discrepancies on air; like outages, or degradation of signal and writes Discrepancy reports.QC- There are many types of QC’s to do. From ratings being specific on what content is okay, to types of QC’s; like Stale, Timeline, Delivery, Tech, and Archive QC’s. Other duties: Monitor’s BNCs, Cheyenne backup system, Decimator, weather maps, and security cameras. Ops do BNC Authorizations, de-authorizations, re-hits, calls, and emails with headends. Ops QC LFP websites and check ROKU, Play Station 4, and XBOX for content on LFP channels. I have SBE certification, just took the test, Society of Broadcast Engineers, CTO # 63575.
