Equinox Southampton Way is a service that provides medium term accommodation and a recovery approach resettlement programme for men with enduring mental health problems who have led chaotic lives and / or have been institutionalised.Recovery plans are based around the service user’s needs, wishes and aspirations and provides the opportunity to re-engage with the community and to move on to independent living. They also include treatment for mental health issues as well as drug and alcohol dependency.This service is only available to people with a connection to Southwark. It can be accessed by referral from the High Support Rehabilitation Team at the Maudsley Hospital.

Managing a specialist substance misuse/rehabilitation/residential service.Experience in Service remodelling , restructuring, implementation of CQC action plans adhering to strict date lines, line managing staff to promote alcohol recovery based support to service users, promoting and implementing a harm minimisation strategy for service users, managing service budget, and liaising with social workers,care coordinators and funding authorities to manage service user's wellbeing. Also experienced in managing the business model of the project in light with demands of commissioners.

Involved in coordinating patient planning discharge from hospital and A&E into the community ideally back into suitable accommodation. Involves liaising with local authorities, housing associations and the private sector source suitable accommodation before patients are discharged from hospital.
