Edited and published the quarterly 8-page (occasionally 12) ASCI newsletter. Solicited articles and materials from each of the seven sister city country committees in ASCI.

Meet guests, help them visit the Estate and Biltmore House. Answer questions about the Estate. Invite them to take specialized tours of the Estate. Speak to them in French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese.

Asheville Sister Cities is the international arm of the Office of the Mayor of Asheville. Asheville has 7 sister cities around the world, to wit: Russia, France, Mexico (2 cities), Greece, Nigeria and Scotland. My committee communicates with interested individuals both in Asheville and in Saumur, our sister city in France.

Took guests on narrated tours of the different parts of the Garden.

Taught all levels of French, from beginner to Advanced Placement. Took five groups of students to France for three-week stays in La Rochelle, France, on an exchange with le Lycée Fénelon.

Taught English at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Teacher Training College). Taught literature, conversation, pronunciation, culture, grammar, etc.
