Design Commercial truck bodies for the Consumer rental group using Solid Works.Work with customers to insure design requirements are meet and introduce new concepts.Initiate design reviews with manufacturing, tooling and purchasing to meet build timeline and cost goals. Work with warranty to investigate the root cause of the customers warrantee issues and suggest and implement corrective action.Lead customer design review and proto type build at all key plants.Investigate, recommend and initiate new or improved material and designs to reduce manufacturing lead time and reduce cost.Visit key plant locations to supervise review and train staff for plant start-up.Work with tooling to improve current fixtures and build new fixtures for current production start-up.Work with purchasing to incorporate cost effective ways to design and build current year production run.Create new part numbers and Bill of material for consumer rental production run.
