KNSD and KNBC are sister stations working from a common Galaxy system.Manage sending back Panasonic AJ-PX380G P2 cameras for repair if I can’t fix them myself. Provided leadership and guidance to my staff which was responsible for covering thousands of live sports productions during the year; Managed Sustaining Engineering resources for 24/7 coverage to minimize last-minute issues that could impact live sports productions.Configured and supported the Broadcast Data Network (BDN) at 1440 to facilitate the moving of large media files from Imagine Communications Farad video servers and DDN for near-line data file storage. Supported editors and clients on the Avid ISIS 7000 editing system who edited shows, promos and highlights.Evaluated staff semi-annually to provide feedback and guidance for strengthening overall performance and awarding raises for sustained professional improvement.`Controlled the Sustaining Engineering budget for supporting all equipment within the facility, including the Avid ISIS 7000 editing systems, Imagine Communications Farad production servers and storage, DDN near-line storage of nearly a petabyte in size, and using SGL to manage LTO tape archiving.Added, updated and refined workflows to keep the facility working smoothly when last-minute changes or failures occurred unexpectedly.Planned and performed software/hardware updates to On-Air equipment using SOPs, and prepared contingencies if unexpected issues occurred.In 2015, we produced over 3,000 live events.
