I am a 2021 graduate of East Hampton High School and a freshman at Vassar College, where I am a student fellow and double major in Science, Technology, and Society as well as Geography. I am interested in how ticks impact our society. What products prevent tick bites? How do invasive species harbor ticks? How do we control deer? How do we educate people in multiple languages to avoid tick bites, and educate them about signs, symptoms, and treatment? In High School, I was active in the community service club, the model UN, robotics club, academic team, and more. I recently completed the Lauret Certification course in Science research writing. One day I hope to work with WMDs and/or the CDC.Over the summer of 2022, I completed a marine conservation externship with National Geographic, where I studied the issues of renewable energy incorporation into the Long Island community.
