I managed the implementation of statewide and regional government affairs initiatives in the Michigan Region. I was responsible for day-to-day contact regarding local regulatory, franchising, public policy and community investment activities and served as liaison between the company and local communities. I also hosted television specials on the Comcast Channel 900 Network and served on the national production team for the award winning Comcast production: "Voices of the Civil Rights Movement."

Served on the faculty of Wayne State University in the Department of Africana Studies. In 1987, I was honored with the Dr.Carter G. Woodson Educator of the Year and was named 1990 United States Peace Corps Black Educator of the Year. In 1991, I also created a course entitled: "African Americans in Broadcasting." The course chronicled the history of African Americans in radio, television, movies and print media.

Served as director of community and project development and provided oversight for the station's Education Division. I directed numerous EMMY award winning community development projects including: City for Youth, Sidewalk High, Streetwatch, Act Against Violence: Help Wanted and Teach Me to Read. However, I was best known for my role as co-host on"Back-to-Back", the 3-time EMMY nominated call-in talk show simulcast on WQBH-1400 AM. In addition, I hosted a Skillman Foundation sponsored talk show entitled, "Good Schools: Making the Grade." I also served as a producer for the award winning talk show, Detroit Black Journal.

Detroit, Michigan

Served as a member of the commercial development team. As a development associate and project director, I developed and implemented technical and financial assistance to business and property owners and co-authored several market studies for the City of Detroit. In addition, I served as project director for the Eastern Market, Seven Mile -Livernois and Millender Center development projects and provided staff support to the Detroit Downtown Development Authority.

Detroit, Michigan

Appointed by the Citizens District Council as Administrator in Detroit's Eastern Market. Under the direction of the Citizens District Council, I was responsible for administering the approval of land acquisition and relocation of over 300 families for the expansion of Eastern Market. In addition, I was instrumental in the creation of the Eastern Market Development Corporation, which represented area business and property owners. Accomplishments included: gaining 501(c)(3) status for the organization, securing a planning grant, creating an additional retail shopping day and obtaining federal and state historical designation for Eastern Market.

Served on the faculty for the Department of Black Studies. Developed a course entitled: 'Regionalism and the Black Community".

Lincoln Park, Michigan

Appointed to a Wayne County Circuit Court task force by Judge Joseph B. Sullivan to address substance abuse addiction in Southern Wayne County. Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC) was a task force funded by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA) and designed to work with Wayne County Probation Department to identify and refer probationers to job training and substance abuse programs.
