As a full time Deputy Sheriff with the Kootenai County Sheriffs Office (KCSO) Patrol Division, I am assigned to the Recreation Safety Division. The marine section has 2 year round deputies and up to 12 full time summer seasonal deputies working 18 lakes and 56 navigable miles of rivers in the beautiful area of Coeur d’Alene and Kootenai County. The marine section has excellent assets and support. It is highly rated within the state for marine education, contacts, vessel inspections and OUI arrests.

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

After completing 6500 miles circumnavigating Americas Great Loop in 2013 and 2014 we have relocated to the the Palm Coast of Florida. I am pursuing professional interests in developing a marine management company that will support the absentee owners of vessels in making sure that their prized possession is professionally monitored and serviced. I look forward to using my USCG Captains license and past experiences in developing this service.

Lewis, Colorado

In 1997 my wife and I purchased a 200 acre small farm in the Lewis area. We tore up the fields, built a new house and barns, installed an extensive pressurized irrigation system that would allow us to pump 1000 gallons of water a minute out to seven side rolls to irrigate the Alfalfa fields.We continued to work the land between working full time jobs and developed a prosperous Alfalfa farm that sold dairy quality hay across the country.After 15 years it was time to move from snow country to warmer weather.

As the Sheriff I was responsible for running a full service agency with a staff of 75 people. During my tenure I was able to have the voters approve a Law Enforcement Authority which allowed us to improve wages, training, equipment and service to the unincorporated areas of the county. We were also able to significantly reduce the amount of lawsuits from an average of five per year down to one in six years. I was also a member of the Colorado County Sheriffs Board of Directors and a member of the NSA's Immigration and Border Control committee.

Telluride, Colorado

I was a Deputy Sheriff assigned to the patrol division. I worked two K-9s (Kiwi and Gato) and we pro actively patrolled the county of San Miguel and responded to calls of service when called. This county was very diverse from the high altitude resort community of Telluride to the east and the rural lower altitude farm lands to the west.

Mountain Village, Co

Started working for the town of Mountain Village in the off season from the ski area first as the Transit Manager when we started the Intercept Parking, Dial-a-ride, Shuttle and Gondola transportation. that lead into administering all of the Federal and State Grants that we were receiving. I was also on the volunteer Fire Department and initiated the Sheriff's Reserve program in 1998.Also worked for the Police Department on a part time basis with K-9 Kiwi
