I am a 1st-year graduate student in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas. After watching my family find success in the world of finance, I took inspiration from them and decided to focus on becoming an inhabitant myself by pursuing a career in accounting. Over the summer, I worked as an instructor at Mathnasium, where I helped make math make sense to students of all ages. Before I began college, I was a bookkeeper at GSGS, LLC. My time there awakened my passion for accountancy and helped me realize the importance of the accounting field. Ever since then, I knew that a career in accounting was what I wanted to pursue, specifically one in forensic accounting.My parents introduced me to the field during my last year in high school, and I had the chance to learn more about it in my first college accounting class. With the reinforcement of my organizational skills and attention to detail as a bookkeeper at GSGS, LLC, as well as the enhancement of my analytical, problem-solving, mathematical, and deductive reasoning skills as an instructor at Mathnasium, I believe I am well-suited for a career in forensic accounting.I plan to graduate from the University of North Texas with a master's degree in Accounting with a concentration in audit and assurance. This concentration has contributed some exceptionally useful information about accountancy, and I plan on utilizing that information as a future forensic accountant.
