Producing tender submissions to clients’ project requirements and specifications.Overseeing the compliance of the project to ensure all stages align with the companies Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Commercial policies, procedures.Ensuring that recommendations made by internal/external audits regarding risk, governance and compliance are acted upon in a timely manner.Liaising with external consultants on matters pertaining to such areas as design, technical or commercial issues.Ensuring that effect project performance management systems are withheld to effectively achieve the contract KPI’s.Keeping the Site Director informed of any significant operational issues that could potentially jeopardise achievement of project goals.Allocating work and supervising direct subordinates in their day-to-day tasks and where required, providing guidance in managing performance.Ensuring that staff within the project team, maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity and control in the execution of their daily activities.Building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with the client to assist in the achievement of goals and objectives.Provide timely and accurate information to the client pertaining to technical issues, costs or scheduling and offering advice on matters where time and cost savings could be made.Reviewing, adjusting and validating the projects’ baseline schedule and budget.Collecting metrics data (such as baseline, actual costs, delays, deviations, productivity etc...) reporting the projects performance and progress and developing action plans where needed.Proactively monitoring areas relating to variations/changes and ensuring these are catalogued and dealt with in a timely manner.Overseeing the proper implementation of policies and procedures to ensure conformity on the project site.Liaising with external parties on matters relating to the project.

A £140 million project to decommission the most hazardous industrial building in Western Europe. Utilising individually designed robotic equipment, focusing on providing high levels of protection to the workforce. A challenging project that is being carried out under the most demanding of technical and environmental conditions.Duties included, but not limited to:Site surveys and production of scope definition documentation to meet with clients’ requirements.Raise the relevant design documentation, to engage design resources under existing framework agreements.Agree and monitor design teams progress, ensuring that the agreed schedule is maintained.Monitor and arrange payment for sub-contract design services, on completion of works, at specific milestones.Arrange design reviews and ensure all subsequent actions are responded to accordingly.Producing and presenting Plant Modification Proposals (PMP’s) that comply with the plant safety case.Prepare and submit Request for Quotations (RFQ’s) for contractor tender submissions.Review and approve contractor submissions. Raising funding and engaging contractors for installations.Review and approve contractors programme, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.Monitoring installation contractors’ progress and taking actions to ensure they meet deadlines associated with the target completion date.Weekly updating of the project programme and cost profile to ensure that they are as accurate as possible and key milestones can be met.Liaising with the commissioning team, to ensure labour resources are available and documentation is in place, ready for transition into commissioning phase.

Ensuring sub-contractors are ISO 9001 accredited. Monitoring and approving their progress on a daily basis, to ensure works are being carried out to specification.Monitoring and updating project progress for earned value reporting.Attending weekly client meetings to report progress against numerous project programmes.Maintaining effective health & safety systems, by recognising hazards and adopting appropriate controls to mitigate known risks.Producing the Project Life Time Quality Record (LTQR) package on completion of the project.
