Gerald Austin Boltz, Jere to his friends, Is an artist, writer, and cartoonist currently living in the Northern California delta. He grew up in Kansas City Missouri but moved to San Francisco in 1966. He Attended The Academy of Art University from 1968 to 1972. Sonoma State University from 1972-73. As a fine arts painter, he exhibited widely around the Bay Area and was well on his way to becoming a prominent painter in the surrealist movement, subsidizing his creative efforts by working construction. He worked in Hollywood for a few years, doing set construction, special effects model making, and sculpture for the movies. Cartoon publishing credits include The Saturday Evening Post, Hustler, and Men’s Action Magazine. He still paints when he can, but financial circumstances have limited his ambitions, so he's turned to writing to keep creatively active and is currently the author of four mystery/ thrillers to date.
