As the U.S. Fleet Forces and Naval Forces North Future Operations Branch Officer responsible for operational planning and managing the Maritime Homeland Defense, Theater Strategic Cooperation, and Defense Support to Civilian Authorities mission portfolios within Fleet Forces in its role as U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) maritime component commander.As the U.S. Fleet Forces and Naval Forces North Current Operations Branch Officer, led a team responsible for real-time management and control of U.S. Navy Fleet activities which involved extensive emergency management and crisis action experience during this position. In this position during two highly active hurricane seasons where time sensitive and exacting decisions were necessary to protect the Atlantic Fleet and position it for disaster relief in the wake of the storms. Acting Deputy Operations Directorate Lead (N3B) during the summer of 2017 where six major hurricanes impacted U.S. territories and states as well as neighboring Caribbean nations. Led the command and control watch floor where numerous Navy ships, aircraft, and ground personnel prepared for and responded to the destruction these storms caused. Led the divisions that provided for the defense and security of the ship as well as managing air operations which controlled upwards of 60 embarked aircraft. The ship was awarded the 2010 Atlantic Fleet "Battle E" as the best aircraft carrier due to this deployment. After deployment, the ship entered a major dry-docked maintenance and modernization period where significant changes to the combat and operation systems were implemented. Led the training and restructuring of the department in preparation of the follow-on ship work-up cycle and eventual deployment. During the initial portion of the work-up cycle, led and managed the complex training and certification schedule to return the ship to combat readiness after a 18 month maintenance period. Show less

Chief instructor pilot and commanding officer of Training Squadron Twenty-Two (VT-22) in Kingsville, TX. This was one of four Navy training squadrons which focuses on intermediate and advanced phases of undergraduate pilot training. Over 160 students from U.S. and foreign military services, were trained in the T-45A/C, a single-engine jet aircraft. The training syllabus included instrument and type-rating evaluations, military missions, and aircraft carrier-based operations.

Chief Safety Officer, Maintenance Officer, then Operations Officer for a F/A-18C which deployed on USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) and executed combat missions in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.

Principal Landing Signals Officer for a carrier based air wing of 7 fixed wing and 1 helicopter squadrons.This air wing deployment on USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67) to the 5th Fleet in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in 2002.
