Provided extensive commentary and resourcing to the candidate to assist with the re-writing of a PhD THESIS on the topic of innovation in New Zealand documentary production ecologies. Candidate resubmitted successfully.I have also examined two other PhD THESES from the Universities of Auckland & New South Wales. Topics include: Foucault, governmentality, critical historicism, ethnographic documentary and explorations of provenance in creative practice (after Walter Benjamin); auto-ethnography as reflexive methodology.I have examined creative practice and written MASTERS THESES for universities and polytechs across Aotearoa/NZ. Topics have included: documentary film, video and photography practices; multi-platform digital media strategies for non-fiction; animation and surrealist photography, and Chomsky/Derrida debate on the critical role of public intellectuals.Internally, I have REVIEWED four doctoral confirmations for AUT, and moderated one PhD resubmission.

A significant academic/industry event exploring the impact of multiplatform digital contexts in Aotearoa NZ & globally.Initiation and coordination of the conference, organizing keynotes and workshops for four guest presenters: Prof. Jon Dovey, Emma Kaye, Jason deSantolo & David Hernandez Palmar. Other responsibilities: overarching curation of the programme, curation of presentation panels, organising international peer review panels for book of abstracts and proceedings, organizing double & single blind peer review process, editing book of abstracts & full paper submissions for proceedings. Conference attracted 80 submissions across 11 countries as well as from within NZ. Capacity registration of 120 achieved. Conference broke even, ensuring low registration costs for students.
