I am having a great time applying my years of investing and Wall Street experience to the real estate market in New York City and the Connecticut Shore. I have the skills and the knowledge to give my clients an enjoyable experience. I learned the nuances of real estate by owning a brownstone in Manhattan since 1977, a water view cottage in Fenwick, Ct. since 1975 and a building lot. I have bought, sold and promoted property, I have negotiated financings, tax assessments, maintenance issues, expenses, neighbor relationships and tenant relations.As President of my Block Association in Carnegie Hill for over 25 years, I worked with co-op and condo boards to manage the organization and collect funds.Real estate transactions require the ability to determine "value" of a property and to negotiation the correct price. I have successfully closed transactions from $100,000 to $100,000,000, and know the delicate balance between trying to negotiate an advantageous price and losing a sale by being too aggressive.After receiving my BA and MBA from The University of Chicago, and serving in the US Air Force, I had successful careers with First Boston Corporation, Blyth Eastman Dillon, Paine Webber and Lazard Freres & Co.I developed loyal relationships with JP Morgan, Metropolitan Life and the finance departments of General Electric and Boeing. I also negotiated a major lease financing for TTX, the railroad leasing company. My career was comprised of creative institutional sales, profitable trading of securities, managing a Corporate Bond trading desk and managing a Corporate Bond Department.The University Club (NY) is an important part of my life. I served on,among others, the Club Council and the Squash Committee. I was a nationally ranked squash player and still compete. I currently serve as the Chairman of the Bridge Committee.
