I am a partner in Burr & Forman's Litigation section. I have been practicing with Burr & Forman since 1991, and my practice has focused on commercial litigation, including business tort claims, partner, member and shareholder disputes, vendor disputes, insurance litigation, D & O claims, lender liability claims, financial institution disputes, bankruptcy litigation, and intellectual property disputes, as well as class actions and insurance coverage claims. I have represented national, regional and local companies in Alabama and in courts throughout the nation. I am a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association. I am rated AV in Martindale-Hubbell, and have been recognized and selected to be included in Alabama and Mid-South Super Lawyers in Business Litigation and Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation. I am admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Alabama and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. I have been admitted pro hac vice in courts in numerous jurisdictions in all areas of the country. I received my B.A., magna cum laude, in 1988 from Hampden-Sydney College, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. I earned my J.D. in 1991 from the University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, I was a Junior Editor and a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review and a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and the Jessup International Moot Court Team.
