Jerry Griparich graduated from Marist College in May of 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Communication, specializing in Public Relations, and a minor in Psychology.He has experience in both communications and marketing from interning at iHeart Media, Inc., in Poughkeepsie, NY. As an intern he learned about radio promotions, the music industry, marketing, and the importance of customer service. Jerry was also an assistant at AXA Advisors in Poughkeepsie, NY. The job entailed helping an insurance broker and office needs relating to his clients. Tasks included filing client information, contacting clients via phone or email, sending out weekly mailings to prospective clients, and developing all marketing strategies.Jerry's previous position at Mazzetti, Buscetto and Associates, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., was Event Coordinator. As event coordinator, he planned and managed client events by performing a variety of duties. He developed, prioritized, and implemented tactical project plans for customer promotion programs. He worked with vendors and wholesalers, booked appropriate venues, set up event schedules, prepared mailings and promotional pieces, and managed on-site staffing and registration. Jerry also worked in marketing and was in charge of advertising and social media for the team. He was responsible for website maintenance for each advisor, maintained their social media sites by inputting timely, pertinent information, was responsible for media relations with outside vendors, and assured that all Ameriprise compliance requirements were met and maintained.Jerry currently works for the International Longshoremen's Association, AFL-CIO at Global Container Terminal. Being the past secretary of the Marist College Band, and the past corresponding and alumni secretary of Kappa Kappa Psi (National Honorary Band Fraternity) he has learned to be organized, hard-working, dedicated, and has a nationwide network.
