Intelligence Officer
CurrentPrimary responsibility was to provide direct support to Marine forces deployed in the CENTCOM Area of Operations, as well as interaction with higher service and combatant command headquarters and adjacent service and theater component commands. Responsibilities include the oversight of current intelligence analytical support to the Commanding General and primary staff, intelligence planner support to theater operational and contingency plans, intelligence systems integration for forces forward deployed, Counter-Intelligence/Human Intelligence planning and procedures, and validation of manning and equipment for forces forward deployed. Additionally, I was responsible for manpower, annual training requirements, inter-service taskings, and budgetary management within the G-2 section. Also charged with identifying issues that required Commanding General and primary staff visibility and driving cross-functional solutions. Identify current priority intelligence requirements, intelligence gaps and recommended closure solutions. In that capacity, my work supports the rapid and compartmented planning efforts in support of current operations, campaigns, and posture as well as contingency plans. My liaison duties include representing Marine Forces Central Command intelligence equity at CENTCOM and other Joint Commands in order to coordinate and integrate intelligence support of Marine Corps units in theater. I also manage and author current intelligence support (including intelligence planning documents) to Marine Forces Central Command plans supporting CENTCOM Theater Security Cooperation initiatives.
