As founder partner of Qualta Resorts Empreendimentos Imobiliarios SA I have put together the funding for the acquisition of 400 ht land, with 4 km of beach, in Pernambuco, Brazil. As board member and COO I was the project manager leading all the approval license process. I was in charge of a 100 people team located in 4 different countries: Brazil, Argentina, London and Spain. I was able to get all the required construction licences in 24 months with something like 500.000 m2 of approved construction area. As part of my functions, I lead the establishment of the Qualta Foundation, the social responsible arm of the Company, a key component of our sustainable development policy. The project was aimed to ensure the sustainable development of the whole region around the Real Estate project, with a strong social impact in a very poor region with more than 250.000 inhabitants with one of the lowest IDH among Brazil.

Luiz Cesar Fernandez, founder partner of Banco Pactual, after selling his participation in Banco Pactual, decided to put together a team in order to establish a new Investment Bank. I was in charge of the telecom sector, being involved in several M&A transactions, the acquisition of OI, one of the major mobile operator of Brazil, Globenet, a distressed submarine cable network, and the privatization of the Paraguayan incumbent. Due to the election of the president Luis Ignacio da Silva, Brazil had to face some complicate times, as the currency exchange rate reached its maximum level at that time.

I was involved in several transactions of corporate finance, project finance and M&A, in transactions with a total amount of more than 5 Bi. dollars.Our department was responsible for advising external customers, and also for internal M&A transactions of the Bank, as the growth of Groupo Santander in Brazil was made through several local acquisitions, including Banco Bozano Simonsen.

Banco Bozano, Simonsen was one of the leading Investments Banks in Brazil for several years. It was recognized the top Brazilian Investment Bank for three consecutive years by Euromonney.I was involved in several transaction in corporate finance and M&A, in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.Representing Rhodia, a French leading petrochemical producer company with head quarters covering Latin America, based in Brazil, we have got a mandate to consolidate different new product lines through the continent, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. I was responsible for the execution of the mandate, and I lead the acquisition of a seaweed derivative product factory in the south of Chile. It was the first time that a Brazilian Investment Bank was involved in a M&A transaction where none of the parties were brazilians.
