Gerald’s passion for real estate investing has led him to various projects, ranging from renovating and reselling homes to the acquisition and conversion of mid-term and long-term rental properties.Additionally, Gerald co-founded a boutique real estate firm and currently works as one of the firm's principal brokers. Recently Gerald served as a managing partner for iNvictus Office Center, a Coworking Community Space, highly regarded as the HUB of Minority Entrepreneurship. Previously, Gerald was a portfolio manager for a Fortune 250 energy company, where he was responsible for optimizing the commitment and scheduling of the regulated system portfolio and provided a market engagement plan to the hourly and next-day power traders. Prior to portfolio management, Gerald served as an engineer gaining extensive experience in resource reviews of repowering electricity generating units and assessments of environmental control technologies. Also in this capacity, Gerald has gained familiarity with coal-fired and natural gas power plants through an operations and maintenance rotational program designed for industry immersion and leadership training. Gerald has held various project management, operations, and leadership positions in the military, government contracting, real estate, and utilities sectors. Gerald served as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers with deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and to Kosovo in support of Operation Joint Guardian. Gerald has over 15 years of experience in managing large-scale projects, developing cross-functional organizations, and implementing quality/performance procedures. Gerald has an MBA from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business, as well as a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Gerald spends his free time playing recreational basketball trying to relive his days as a walk-on player on the men’s college basketball team.
