Studying applications of Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound with microbubbles. Specifically focused on measuring Interstitial Fluid Pressure (IFP) within the tumor microenvironment (TME) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Irvine Chapter

Mentorship under Dr. LiangZhong Xiang and Ph.D Student Siqi Wang, studying X-ray-induced Acoustic Computed Tomography (XACT) and Ultrasound (US) at TRUE Lab. Independently studied focused transducer accuracy and calibration in UROP Fellowship for Transducer Calibration for XACT Imaging in Cancer Research project. Performed data collection for Three-Dimensional (3D) X-ray-induced acoustic computed tomography (XACT) from single X-ray projection manuscript preparation. Traveled to the Berkeley Lab Laser Accelerator Center (Jul 31 - Aug 3, 2022) to conduct Ion-Acoustic Tomography (IAT) experiments using a ring array transducer. Responsible for equipment transport and operation, experimental setup and teardown, and data acquisition.Mentoring 4+ undergraduate students in procedures and experimentation processes, operation of all digital acquisition (DAQ) systems, and SolidWorks and MATLAB for lab specific use.
