Originally from England, I moved to California with a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in hand. I quickly began my career in Purchasing with a Sacramento computer OEM as a spare parts buyer. Over the years, I became the first Strategic Buyer for a rail company, Purchasing Manager for a Glass Coating and Temescal Electron bean equipment. Director of Purchasing of steel building components company to Materials Manager of a Metal Building manufacturer and eventually being Interim General Manager of a Manufacturing Plant. And in the middle of all that achieving a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Even as I transitioned into Healthcare IT. My supply chain background allowed me to become a SME is asset management focusing on nonstandard software. I was asked to present, then facilitate electronic asset management sessions that focused on process, procedure, inventory management, chain of custody, root cause analysis. Where I have been repeatedly recognized for my unwavering help, organizational and leadership abilities over the last eight years.My strongest abilities are for process improvement, data analysis and executing projects successfully. I successfully became manager of nonstandard software intake process after taking a team to reduce a 438-ticket backlog to zero within 60 days, while managing the current request queue. This required building strong relationships with peers and providing high quality customer service in order to continue in that role. Now that I have relocated to Lexington Kentucky to be near family, I am in search of a new set of problems to solve. It would be wonderful to find something using my supply chain experience in any capacity.
