We would not be able to help those in need without the help we get from you.Grassroots operates a 33-bed emergency family shelter, and a 18-bed men’s shelter, and can house up to five families short-term in motel shelter. We provide comprehensive support services with the goal of helping each individual or family achieve a positive resolution to their shelter crisis.

These are co-workers, schoolmates, friends and even family who may be contemplating suicide. These are members of the community who are experiencing a crisis and are seeking help, crisis intervention counseling, and sometimes just a roof. We are an emergency, a 24-hour phone and walk-in crisis center and an educational resource for all. We’re proud to serve Howard County and other nearby communities.
