Main Duties of current post: Environmental Crime Officer (Neighbourhood Action Team)• Responsibility in providing dedicated integrated and responsive enforcement actions of all aspects of environmental crime. • To ensure compliance of the statutory obligations of the Authority's Enforcement Policy, legislations and Concordat, prosecute offenders and represent the Council in Court.• Carry out cyclical highways safety inspections taking into account budgetary concerns and handle accident claims process.• Strategically develop and implement analyzed solutions to area based endemic problems with key stakeholders in line with the objectives of the Environment and Community Safety to deliver organisational priorities. • Political awareness.• Spearhead improvement projects, monitor the Council’s contractors and work in partnership with Internal and External Agencies including Tailgate operations, ALMO homes for Haringey (Safer Neighbourhood Police/Housing Managers/Ward Panel and Councillors/Social Workers, Customs and Excise, Home Office) with successful outcomes and to reduce crime and the fear of crime.• .Use enforcement notices and prosecutions to obtain improvements ensuring my approach in consistent, open and transparent and in line with council policy and the enforcement concordat through respect, experience, discipline vision, people skills, emotional strength, paying attention to detail, momentum and timing at the same time learning and improving as I progress. • Ability to lead a multifunctional team and deliver results under pressure and stress.
