Ground Operations Manager
CurrentManage & negotiate vendor contracts.Approve departmental expenses and liaise with the Finance Departmentto make vendor payments.Act as liaison for external audits and conduct internal audits.Build and maintain relationships with operators, ground handlers,authorities and clients alike.Identify operational shortfalls, develop and implement new procedures tobridge these shortcomings.Create and update departmental SOP's - customer service and groundhandling.Provide departmental induction, training and refreshers - requires stationvisits.Monitor operation systems to ensure ground personnel are compliantwith the latest policies and procedures.Practice, monitor and comply with all relevant safety. quality andenvironmental management policies, procedures and controls.Stay up to date with the latest passenger, cargo (for passengers aircraft)and customs regulations.Oversee station start-ups.Handle VIP client profiles and charters - passengers and special cargo.Monitor that the service delivered is within the contract terms. If not,discuss variations with the client and Business Unit Head.Lead, monitor and evaluate all call center activities.Update company Social Media channels.Handle service recovery and oversee corrective action.Collaborate with various departments to secure and develop newbusiness ventures.Procure stationary and equipment to execute flights.Monitor staff attendance and leave.Conduct performance reviews, manage misconduct and set developmentplans for staff.Ensure the work schedules, developed for the staff, match the clientrequirements.Manage corporate travel - flights, hotels and visas.
