The Asset Management Programme is currently being developed within Magnox and is seen as a critical enabler to the mission to successfully achieve entry into Care & Maintenance, within the contract period and within the target cost. This new Programme will cover areas such as Plant Maintenance, Utilities Management, Asset management and Facilities Management with an estimated expenditure in the order of £10million per annum. This new role is a far more dynamic environment with requirements and priorities changing on a daily basis depending on the need to support the critical site infrastructure and in order to maintain compliance. The basis of my role is still that of Project Management however overlooking the Asset Management environment with the priority on balancing time, budget, quality and risk being essential.I believe this role will further enhance my capabilities and make me a more proficient Project Manager with a broader knowledge of the site and infrastructure needs, which will leave me better placed to take on future opportunities in wider industry and construction sectors.Achievements: Establishing new Programme Approach for Asset Management at Trawsfynydd and realising over £2.0mill in savings through restructuring the Asset Care delivery team. This was achieved over a 12 month period, whilst still maintaining a high level of output and support to the site Infrastructure. During this period I also lead a team to undertake a number of Reactor Pressure Vessel Entries to safely obtain data and retrieve samples for corrosion analysis. Show less
