From October 2017 until March 2020 I was manager of the strategic project 'Professional development of teachers' at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I conducted this task besides my directorship at Risbo. Main goal: continuous development (life long learning) of teachers at Erasmus University Rotterdam. We developed a lot of MicroLabs (short how-to-modules) that teachers could follow on top of their Basic University Teaching Qualification (UTQ). Moreover, we challenged more teachers to participate in the Senior University Teaching Qualification (SUTQ) and the Educational Leadership Course.

Besides my directorship at Risbo I was program leader of the 'Leadership in education course' from 2012 until March 2020. This course is specially aimed at program directors, master coordinators and bachelor coordinators of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Leiden University and Technical University of Delft. During this inspiring one-year course participants immersed themselves in educational and (educational) leadership themes, they executed an innovation project within their own program/faculty, and they developed their own substantiated vision on teaching and providing leadership.The course had six learning goals. At the end of the course the participants were able to:- Take relevant and current scientific insights into account while formulating one's own vision for (higher) education, substantiating it and presenting it in a convincing manner;- Take relevant and current scientific insights into account while formulating the profile of oneself as an educational leader, reflecting critically on one's own development and presenting oneself in the spirit of this profile;- Identify current educational issues and resolve and evaluate them in a systematic and substantiated way and reflect critically on the process followed;- Create support for educational innovations and provide leadership for the innovation process, taking into account different change strategies;- Provide an active evidence-based contribution to the educational policy of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Leiden University and Technical University of Delft;- Stimulate and support colleagues inside and outside the course actively in their professional development in terms of teaching and/or educational leadership.

Besides my directorship at Risbo I was projectmanager online education at Erasmus University Rotterdam from the beginning of 2014 until the end of the Digital=Normal program in October 2017.In that role I was responsible for the projects online education at EUR:- Development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in order to make education of Erasmus University Rotterdam worldwide accessible. In October 2017 8 MOOCs were developed and available via Coursera (www.coursera.org); 13 others were in the development phase.- Development of (serious) games and simulations in order to improve the quality of education.- Implementation of blended education in order to improve the quality of education.- Online education projects in order to enhance the quality of post experience education and to adapt the courses to the characteristics of the target groups.Besides these projects I was responsible for three project teams: business models online education, accreditation online education & research online education.Each year we organised an exhibition (bEURs) in order to present and share the results of the online education projects.

Besides my directorship at Risbo (www.risbo.nl) I was manager of the project 'Research into the effects of the implementation of the regulation Nominal=Normal at Erasmus University Rotterdam'.The goal of Nominal = Normal: improve the study success of students in the first year at Erasmus University in order to give them a good perspective to complete their studies in time.Measures: (1) introduction of BSA of 60 ECTS in the first year, (2) limitation of the number of resits, (3) introduction of a compensatory grading system and (4) implementation of a form of activating education.Goals of the research: investigating the (possible) effect of the implementation of N=N on the enrollment of students, their study success & their study behavior.
