About Gerard Darnes
I was one of the first Spanish young players to received a full basketball scholarship in USA back in the nineties... After 2 years in McLennan College, I received an offer to play basketball professionally in Girona ACB team and after playing 8 years in Spanish ACB League (top European pro-league), I became Assistant GM in tasks of Marketing, sponsorships, and events organization. In 2003 I was recruited to work for You First Sports. In charge of the Spanish market, I was the primary agent of players like Rudy Fernandez, Marcelinho Huertas, Jordi Trias, Victor Sada, Pau Ribas and many others. I was the coordinator for Serge Ibaka's and Kristaps Porzingis early professional careers, and responsible for European coordination between NBA Agents Andy Miller, Justin Zanik (now NBA front office), and Andrew Vye and NBA prospects like Serge Ibaka, Rudy Fernandez and Sergi Llull (co work with external primary agent Ernest Berenguer).In 2013 I founded my own Agency firm. Since then, the boutique agency based in Barcelona became one of the most respected boutique agencies in Europe representing TOP european prospects and also professional players mainly in the spanish market.
