Mr. Gallagher is the former President and CEO of the global environmental consulting firm Ecology and Environment, Inc. (E&E). He currently serves as an independent business advisor and coach to senior executives and their organizations for shaping strategic direction, developing strong leadership, enhancing business performance and building lasting value.In his 37 years with E&E he served as a consulting environmental planner, a leader of multidisciplinary project teams, and as a manager for company and business unit operations. His experience spans U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, North Africa and Southeast Asia. For a wide range of private sector and government clients he has conducted regulatory analyses, environmental and social impact assessments, facilities and community planning, economic analyses, and stakeholder/public engagement, in areas of:• Energy development siting and planning;• Mine development feasibility and planning;• Natural resources management;• Planning for military installations, facilities, training ranges and operations; and,• Regional, urban and neighborhood-scale community planning and sustainability initiatives.He is a proponent of multidisciplinary teams and collaborative partnerships in plan development and problem solving. He is interested in prospects for economic development through the lens of sustainability, resilience, livable cities, sustainable agriculture and food production, local markets, environmental stewardship; as well as the social values of community, culture, and great places.
