<< The Paul Scherrer Institute, or PSI, is Switzerland's largest natural and engineering science research institute. Its efforts are aimed at both fundamental and applied sciences in the fields of future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation, and the fundamentals of nature. >>As a Postdoctoral Researcher, I led and contributed to quantum materials research using Synchrotron and XFEL light sources worldwide, gaining unprecedented insights into advanced materials relevant to future technologies and energy. Our findings are consolidated and soon published, leading to an estimated 5+ peer-reviewed publications.To best contribute to PSI's success, I intensely practiced team- and cross-team work, keenly focused on project management practices, and initiated fruitful collaborations with universities and research institutes. Besides, I ensured that all data collected and scripts I wrote for experimental control and statistical data analysis are readily available to my peers, in line with the FAIR data principles. A steep learning curve is one of the most beneficial aspects of postdoctoral experience: Learning to collaborate effectively, keeping current with literature, and initiating and managing new projects while successfully finishing ongoing studies. An experience I genuinely appreciated.
