Primarily developed and supported a Credit Value at Risk System for the Risk Management Group using MS Visual Basic 6.0 and associated tools including Excel 97/VBA, SQL Server for extracting source data, and Visual Source Safe.Used the same technologies to develop and support a Bullet Barbell System for the Government Bond Trading Desk, and do further work on a Market Value at Risk System for the Risk Manager.

Developed a number of utilities for the Global FX Desk using mainly MS Visual Basic 4.0/5.0, MS Access 97 and MS Excel 97/VBA - including a configurable Rates Capture System which drew information from Reuters, Telerate and other sources, reconciliation workbooks and a remote automation OLE Bloomberg Server,Did further development work on the MS Access Repo Management System for the Credit Suisse Treasury.

Primarily developed and maintained statistical rating systems such as the Catastrophe Risk Rating System and Risk Excess Rating System using Accell/SQL under AIX. Used MS Excel 4.0 and CSS: Statistica 3.1 for statistical analysis.Also developed and operated utilities to improve the quarterly presentation of syndicate results - using MS Excel 4.0 and Word 2.0.

Primarily developed cost models using MS Excel 4.0/Macros. The Nuclear Waste Disposal Cost Model was used by the Government and industry bodies for assessing the cost-implications of different decisions faced.The Nuclear Waste Transportation Cost Model was used by the Packaging and Transport Branch to evaluate and allocate costs under different scenarios. Work involved reconciling the model with an earlier manual study to highlight differing assumptions and demonstrate consistency.
