I also made sure that I was at the branch office every morning to conduct Gate Checks of all vehicles and material loads prior to leaving the office. I also supervised the support staff in reorganizing the office, warehouse, and service yard making all area’s OSHA compliant. Additionally managed two beach crews that would do rapid response to oil spotting and absorbent change-outs. Reported directly with the BP Oil Recovery team providing essential status reports needed to evaluate the clean up efforts to report to federal and state agencies. Initiated a pre and post operations meeting with the day shift to hand over the daily activities with the night crews to establish what tasks were completed and what would need additional attention during the night operations.
