Involved in the purchase of Sembawang Shipyard's and Sembawang Engineering's businesses and assets from SembCorp Industries Limited to JSL and renaming of JSL to SembCorp Marine Limited (SML). Reported to then JSL/SML Group Chairman Mr. Lua Cheng Eng [who was then also CEO of Neptune Orient Lines Limited (NOL)] and President & Managing Director Mr. Tan Kwi Kin.

Responsible for all compliance, corporate and legal matters of Sembawang Shipyard Limited and Sembawang Corporation Limited later known as SembCorp Industries Limited. Reported directly to two successive Chairmen Dr. Hsu Tze Kwang (who was then also the Commissioner of Inland Revenue) and Mr. Philip Yeo (who was then also the Chairman of Singapore’s Economic Development Board), the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Directors.
