Just retired from the Commercial Interiors industry, last working as a Project Superintendent for CAHS Construction Ltd. renovating an Upper East Side Townhouse.I have over 30 years of experience in New York City commercial interior renovations, I took a year's hiatus in 2010 (due to the economy), during which I've received my LEED Green Associate accreditation & have completed a Certificate in Project Management course at SUNY Stony Brook. I then returned and spent 22 months supervising the construction of an operating room suite (for animals), the Men's Health project (NY Presbyterian) and a restaurant at the Brooklyn Museum. I then moved on to another firm to perform bank renovations at branches of Chase and the Bank of America for several months, before moving on to a firm that does a considerable amount of hospital work (in particular, NYU Langone). Unfortunately, some major projects there failed to materialize and I was furloughed just prior to Christmas 2013, before joining O+D Builders in early Feb. 2014. Worked as a Project Superintendent until Sept. 2015, when I made a lateral move into the office to work as an Associate Project Manager until March 2020 (when I was placed on hiatus due to Covid)I hold a NYC-DOB Construction Superintendent's license, as well as the 62 hr Site Safety Training Supervisor card now required by the NYC-DOBSpecialties: * Commercial Interior Renovations (On-Site Supervision)* "Green Building"* Hospital RenovationIn addition to the aforementioned, I have extensive background as a Transit Advocate, currently serving in the following positions:* Board Member - Metropolitan Transit Authority * Chairman - Permanent Citizens Advisory Council to the MTA * Chairman - Long Island Rail Road Commuters CouncilI also volunteer as the Associate Director for Advocacy - Suffolk Region PTACurrently hold an "Inactive" New York State Funeral Directors license and in the process of submitting the necessary Continuing Education courses to upgrade to an Active license, as I hope to start working in the industry on a part-time basis.
