The business environment with its strategy, its history, and its aspirations and the IT environment with its architecture, its legacy systems, and its development methods too often are as two cities separated by a river whose inhabitants call out to each other in a different language. I am the translator on the bridge over the river. Through my education and experience I can understand the needs and requirements of both business and IT and merge them into designs that give the business a clear picture of what they are going to get in terms that make sense to them while providing the IT side with unambiguous specifications that they can deliver. Combining that with a passion for keeping deadlines and budgets has resulted in a string of successful solutions that have withstood the test of time, being flexible enough to adjust to the constant changes. I love to work in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment where the diversity of personalities, backgrounds, and experiences all contribute to both a way of working and a result that are a perfect fit for the modern world. Having worked in both the public and the private sector I have realized that the differences between those two worlds are not nearly as big as often assumed. And, unlike the way that LinkedIn is set up, I believe that a profile should be based on the results one has achieved and the environments in which they were achieved, rather than on the often arbitrary titles assigned to a role in an organization.
