Ensuring everything I undertake is completed to the best of my ability is something I strongly believe in. A recent example of this is my achievements since returning to college in 2013 and starting out in my new career. I attained a First Class Honours degree in the BSc (Hons) Software Development Degree at IT Carlow. Having completed an internship with VHI , where I got hands on experience with Postman, Newman, Svn, Javascript, Jenkins, UFT, vbScript, Selenium, Cucumber, jUnit and Java, I was offered a full time position.My work as a Quality Engineer within VHI currently entails creating User Stories, designing and writing automated API integration tests and ensuring all work within the test team is of a high standard. The languages/technologies used are Postman, Java, RestAssured. TestNg. Hamcrest. Jenkins, Git and svn. I have also qualified as a SAFe agilist and completed the ISTQB foundation.I have also taken on the role as a Technical Lead over a small team of Quality Engineers.I gave gained valuable knowledge and experience in this role, which I have passed on to new team members on several occasions.I am also very interested in sports of all kinds and have competed at various levels.I now try to pass on the experience and skills I gained during my playing career, in order to help others. I would like to further my career as an Automation Test/Quality engineer and I am open to positions that will help me achieve this.
